TROND NICHOLAS PERRY

My work is primarily based on imagination, abstraction and rhythm. I express myself through three dimensional constructions, sound and collage. These are not independent of each other: the function of the construction is to make sound, the sound illustrates an image which serves as a sketch for a sculpture...... Humor and fun play a large part, I want my work to be accessible.

I am fascinated by the idea of exploding meaning - by this I mean creating space for experiencing rather than explaining. I believe abstraction gives this possibility and for me it serves as a way of expanding and playing with reality.
